Ann Kaplan



Ann Kaplan is the CEO and President of iFinance Canada Inc., the parent company to Medicard, Petcard and Dentalcard - a North American consumer finance company. An award-winning businesswoman, popular speaker, and media personality, Ms. Kaplan has also hosted television shows including Global's NYtv, a national television show featuring cosmetic medical procedures and makeovers and is currently hosting CosmedicTv.

She has been featured in hundreds of publications to date, including a University textbook case study on entrepreneurship . Ms Kaplan is the recipient of numerous awards including the Canadian Woman Entrepreneur of the year Award, 2000; the Peak Award of Excellence in Finance, 2001; as well as six times (2006-2011) on the Canada's Profit Top 100 Companies; five times placement on the Canadian W100 list (Top 100 Companies) (placing 13th in Canada in 2010); she was also recognized as one of Canada's most inspirational women in 2007 and more recently as one of Canada's top three Female Business Leaders and as Canada's Top 100 Most Powerful Women, 2009, 2010; Canada's Mompreneur of The Year 2009; as well as receiving the top honor internationally for a Stevie Awards for Best Entrepreneur/Women in Business 2009 and is also winner of both the 2011 Canadian Entrepreneur of the Year and International Entrepreneur of the Year.

Ms. Kaplan has a MBA, a MSc, a Corporate Governance Designation (ICD.d) and is completing her PhD Thesis (her academic focus is on Spirituality and Business Culture) in Business and Doctor of Business Administration (Empirical Analysis of Consumer Loan Defaults) at Henley University. She has written two books If You Don't Laugh, You'll Cry and Best Practices. Ann Kaplan resides in Toronto.
